High hopes aren’t going to save the Nissan Frontier from this competition. The Ford Maverick absolutely dominates when it comes to a number of features and options. Keeping in its tradition of conquering the pickup truck market, we’re really not surprised that Ford has created another vehicle to outshine its pickup truck counterparts. And opposite to its opponents, the Ford Maverick has gained an advantage. The Maverick XL is the first standard full hybrid pickup truck, which means a 2.5-liter full hybrid engine, producing an EPA-estimated 42 mpg in the city.³ We’re not ones to point out mistakes, but the 2022 Nissan Frontier doesn’t even offer a hybrid option, and its standard gas-powered engine can only produce an EPA-estimated 18 mpg in the city.4 Not sure that’s something we’d continue to advertise. The Ford Maverick is also versatile when it comes to conquering all terrain with its five available selectable drive modes. The Nissan Frontier doesn’t even offer one alternative available drive mode. When it comes to getting the most bang for your buck, the Ford Maverick is the clear-cut choice.

Taking in all of those factors and a lower MSRP, what are you waiting for? Take over the road ahead when you choose the first-ever 2022 Ford Maverick today!
